2.Moos:3:13 Mooses sanoi Jumalalle: "Katso, kun minä
menen israelilaisten luo ja sanon heille: 'Teidän isienne Jumala on lähettänyt
minut teidän luoksenne', ja kun he kysyvät minulta: 'Mikä hänen nimensä on?'
niin mitä minä heille vastaan?"

3:14 Jumala vastasi Moosekselle: "Minä olen se, joka
minä olen." Ja hän sanoi vielä: "Sano israelilaisille näin: 'Minä
olen' lähetti minut teidän luoksenne."

3:15 Ja Jumala sanoi vielä Moosekselle: "Sano
israelilaisille näin: Herra, teidän isienne Jumala, Aabrahamin Jumala, Iisakin
Jumala ja Jaakobin Jumala, lähetti minut teidän luoksenne; tämä on minun nimeni
iankaikkisesti, ja näin minua kutsuttakoon sukupolvesta sukupolveen.

AMP   2 Moos 3: ¹¹ And Moses said to God, ^[b]Who am I, that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of
Egypt?¹² God said, I will
surely be with you; and this shall be the sign to you that I have sent you:
when you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain [Horeb, or Sinai].¹³ And
Moses said to God, Behold, when I come to the Israelites and say to them, The
God of your fathers has sent me to you, and they say to me, What is His name?
What shall I say to them?¹⁴ And God said to Moses, I Am
Who I Am and What I Am,
and I Will Be What I Will Be;
and He said, You shall say this to the Israelites: I Am has sent me to you!¹⁵ God said also to
Moses, This shall you say to the Israelites: The Lord, the God of your fathers,
of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, has sent me to you! This is My ^[c]name forever, and by this name I am to be remembered
to all generations.

MSG  2 Moos 3: ¹¹ Moses answered
God, “But why me? What makes you think that I could ever go to Pharaoh and lead
the children of Israel out of Egypt?”¹² “I’ll be with you,” God
said. “And this will be the proof that I am the one who sent you: When you have
brought my people out of Egypt, you will worship God right here at this very
mountain.”¹³ Then Moses said to God, “Suppose I go to the
People of Israel and I tell them, ‘The God of your fathers sent me to you’; and
they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ What do I tell them?”¹⁴ God said to
Moses, “I-AM-WHO-I-AM. Tell the People
of Israel, ‘I-AM sent me to you.’”¹⁵ God continued with Moses:
“This is what you’re to say to the Israelites: ‘God, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob sent me to you.’ This has always been my name, and this is how I always will be known.

TLB  2 Moos 3: ¹¹ “But I’m not the
person for a job like that!” Moses exclaimed.¹² Then God told him, “I will certainly be with you, and this
is the proof that I am the one who is sending you: When you have led the people
out of Egypt, you shall worship God here
upon this mountain!”¹³ But Moses asked, “If I go to the people
of Israel and tell them that their fathers’ God has sent me, they will ask,
‘Which God are you talking about?’ What shall I tell them?”¹⁴ “‘The
Sovereign God,’”^[b] was the reply.
“Just say, ‘I Am has sent me!’ ¹⁵ Yes, tell them, ‘Jehovah,^[c] the God of
your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, has sent me to you.’ (This is my eternal name, to be used throughout all generations.)
