09.09.2026 2 Piet 1:20-21

2 Piet 1:20-21 Raamattu 1933/38

2 Peter 1:20-21 Amplified Bible
20 [a]But understand this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of or comes from one’s own [personal or special] interpretation, 21 for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God. Footnotes
2 Peter 1:20 Or For you know.
2 Peter 1:20-21New Living Translation

20 Above all, you must realize that no prophecy in Scripture ever came from the prophet’s own understanding,[a] 21 or from human initiative. No, those prophets were moved by the Holy Spirit, and they spoke from God. Footnotes 1:20 Or is a matter of one’s own interpretation.

2 Peter 1:20-21 New International Version
20 Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation of things. 21 For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

2 Peter 1:20-21Amplified Bible, Classic Edition
20 [Yet] first [you must] understand this, that no prophecy of Scripture is [a matter] of any personal or private or special interpretation (loosening, solving).
21 For no prophecy ever originated because some man willed it [to do so—it never came by human impulse], but men spoke from God who were borne along (moved and impelled) by the Holy Spirit.
