23.06.2026 Ps 73:1-5

Ps 73:1-5 Raamattu 1933/38

73 Aasafin virsi. Totisesti, Jumala on hyvä Israelille, niille, joilla on puhdas sydän.
Mutta minun jalkani olivat vähällä kompastua, askeleeni olivat aivan liukahtaa.
3 Sillä minussa nousi kateus ylvästelijöitä kohtaan, kun minä näin jumalattomien menestyvän.
4 Sillä he ovat vaivoista vapaat kuolemaansa asti, he ovat voimakkaat ja lihavat.
5 Eivät he koe muitten kuolevaisten tuskia, eikä heitä vaivata niinkuin muita ihmisiä.

Psalm 73:1-5 Amplified Bible Book Three

The End of the Wicked Contrasted with That of the Righteous.
A Psalm of Asaph.
73 Truly God is good to Israel,
To those who are pure in heart.
2 But as for me, my feet came close to stumbling,
My steps had almost slipped.

3 For I was envious of the arrogant
As I saw the prosperity of the wicked.
4 For there are no pains in their death,
Their body is fat and pampered.
5  They are not in trouble as other men,
Nor are they plagued like mankind.

Psalm 73:1-5 New Living Translation
Book three (Psalms 73–89)
Psalm 73
A psalm of Asaph.

1 Truly God is good to Israel,
    to those whose hearts are pure.
2 But as for me, I almost lost my footing.
    My feet were slipping, and I was almost gone.
3 For I envied the proud
    when I saw them prosper despite their wickedness.
4 They seem to live such painless lives;
    their bodies are so healthy and strong.
5 They don’t have troubles like other people;
    they’re not plagued with problems like everyone else.

Psalm 73:1-5 New International Version
BOOK III
Psalms 73–89
Psalm 73 A psalm of Asaph.

1 Surely God is good to Israel,
    to those who are pure in heart.
2 But as for me, my feet had almost slipped;
    I had nearly lost my foothold.
3 For I envied the arrogant
    when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.
4 They have no struggles;
    their bodies are healthy and strong.[a]
5 They are free from common human burdens;
    they are not plagued by human ills.
Footnotes
Psalm 73:4 With a different word division of the Hebrew; Masoretic Text struggles at their death; / their bodies are healthy

Psalm 73:1-5 King James Version
73 Truly God is good to Israel, even to such as are of a clean heart.

2 But as for me, my feet were almost gone; my steps had well nigh slipped.

3 For I was envious at the foolish, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.

4 For there are no bands in their death: but their strength is firm.

5 They are not in trouble as other men; neither are they plagued like other men.

16.06.2026 Ps 124:2-5

Ps 124:2-5 Raamattu 1933/38

2 ellei Herra olisi meidän kanssamme, kun ihmiset nousevat meitä vastaan,

3 niin he meidät elävältä nielisivät, kun heidän vihansa syttyy meitä vastaan;

4 niin vedet upottaisivat meidät, virta tulvisi meidän sielumme ylitse;

5 niin tulvisivat kuohuvat vedet meidän sielumme ylitse.

Ps 124:2-5NIV  if the Lord had not been on our side

when people attacked us,

they would have swallowed us alive

when their anger flared against us;

the flood would have engulfed us,

the torrent would have swept over us,

the raging waters

would have swept us away.

Praise be to the Lord,

who has not let us be torn by their teeth.

We have escaped like a bird

from the fowler’s snare;

the snare has been broken,

and we have escaped.

Our help is in the name of the Lord,

the Maker of heaven and earth.
