Mark 10: Jeesus siunaa lapsia
(Matt. 19:13–15; Luuk. 18:15–17)
13. Jeesuksen luo tuotiin lapsia, jotta
hän koskettaisi heitä, mutta opetuslapset
nuhtelivat tuojia.
14. Kun Jeesus näki sen, hän närkästyi
ja sanoi: ”Sallikaa lasten tulla
minun luokseni älkääkä estäkö heitä,
sillä heidän kaltaistensa on Jumalan
valtakunta. Matt. 18:3
15. Totisesti minä sanon teille: joka ei
ota vastaan Jumalan valtakuntaa niin
kuin lapsi, se ei pääse sinne sisälle.”
16. Hän otti lapset syliinsä, pani kätensä
heidän päälleen ja siunasi heitä.

Mark 10:13-16Amplified Bible (AMP)Jesus Blesses Little Children13 People were bringing children to Him so that He would touch and
bless them, but the disciples reprimanded them and discouraged them
[from coming].
14 But when Jesus saw this, He was indignant and He said to them, “Allow the children to come to Me; do not forbid them; for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.
15 I assure you and most solemnly say to you, whoever does not receive and welcome the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it at all.”
16 And He took the children [one by one] in His arms and [a]blessed them [with kind, encouraging words], placing His hands on them.
Footnotes:Mark 10:16 The basic meaning of the Greek word found here for “blessed” is to speak kindly of someone. Jesus was probably giving the children encouragement as only He could, with His infallible knowledge of each child’s future.

and the disciples were reproving them [for it].

15 Truly I tell you, whoever does not receive and accept and welcome the kingdom of God like a little child [does] positively shall not enter it at all.
16 And He took them [the children up [b]one by one] in His arms and [[c]fervently invoked a] blessing, placing His hands upon them.

Mark 10:13-16The Message (MSG)13-16 The people brought children to Jesus, hoping he might touch them. The
disciples shooed them off. But Jesus was irate and let them know it: “Don’t
push these children away. Don’t ever get between them and me. These children
are at the very center of life in the kingdom. Mark this: Unless you accept
God’s kingdom in the simplicity of a child, you’ll never get in.” Then,
gathering the children up in his arms, he laid his hands of blessing on them.
Mark 10:13-16Living Bible (TLB)13 Once when some mothers[a] were bringing their children to Jesus to bless them,
the disciples shooed them away, telling them not to bother him.
14 But when Jesus saw what was happening he was very much displeased with his disciples and said to them, “Let the children come to me, for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as they. Don’t send them away!
15 I tell you as seriously as I know how that anyone who refuses to come to God as a little child will never be allowed into his Kingdom.”
16 Then he took the children into his arms and placed his hands on their heads and he blessed them.Footnotes:Mark 10:13 mothers, implied.
