Psalmi 103 Herra on laupias ja armahtava
1. Daavidin psalmi.
Ylistä
Herraa, minun sieluni, ja
kaikki mitä minussa on,
hänen pyhää nimeään.
2. Ylistä Herraa, minun sieluni,
äläkä unohda, mitä hyvää hän
on tehnyt.
3. Hän antaa kaikki syntisi anteeksi
ja parantaa kaikki sairautesi.
4. Hän lunastaa sinun elämäsi
turmiosta
ja kruunaa sinut armolla ja
laupeudella.
5. Hän tyydyttää sinun kaipauksesi
hyvyydellään;
sinun nuoruutesi uudistuu kuin
kotka.
6. Herra tekee vanhurskaita tekoja
ja hankkii oikeuden kaikille
sorretuille.
7. Hän on tehnyt tiensä tunnetuksi
Moosekselle,
tekonsa Israelin lapsille.
8. Herra on laupias ja armahtava,
pitkämielinen ja suuri
armossaan.
9. Ei hän aina riitele eikä pidä vihaa
ikuisesti.
10. Ei hän tee meille syntiemme
mukaan
eikä maksa meille pahojen
tekojemme mukaan.
11. Sillä niin korkealla kuin taivas on
maan yllä,
niin voimallinen on hänen
armonsa niitä kohtaan,
jotka häntä pelkäävät.
12. Niin kaukana kuin itä on
lännestä, niin kauas
hän siirtää meistä
rikkomuksemme.
13. Niin kuin isä armahtaa lapsiaan,
niin Herrakin armahtaa niitä,
jotka häntä pelkäävät.
14. Sillä hän tietää, millaista tekoa
me olemme;
hän muistaa, että olemme
tomua.
15. Ihmisen elinpäivät ovat kuin
ruoho;
hän kukoistaa kuin kedon
kukka.
16. Kun tuuli käy hänen ylitseen, ei
häntä enää ole
eikä hänen asuinpaikkansa
häntä enää tunne.
17. Mutta Herran armo on
ikuisuudesta ikuisuuteen
niiden yllä,
jotka häntä pelkäävät,
ja hänen vanhurskautensa
kestää lasten lapsille,
18. niille, jotka pitävät hänen
liittonsa,
muistavat hänen asetuksensa ja
noudattavat niitä.
19. Herra on pystyttänyt istuimensa
taivaisiin,
ja hänen kuninkuutensa hallitsee
kaikkea.
20. Ylistäkää Herraa, te hänen
enkelinsä, te väkevät sankarit,
jotka toteutatte hänen sanansa,
kun kuulette sen.
21. Ylistäkää Herraa, kaikki hänen
joukkonsa,
te hänen palvelijansa, jotka
täytätte hänen tahtonsa.
22. Ylistäkää Herraa, kaikki hänen
luotunsa
hänen valtakuntansa kaikissa
paikoissa.
Ylistä Herraa, minun sieluni!
Psalm 103 (AMP)
Praise for the Lord’s Mercies.
A Psalm of David.
103 Bless and affectionately praise the Lord, O my soul,
And all that is [deep] within me, bless His holy name.
2 Bless and affectionately praise the Lord, O my soul,
And do not forget any of His benefits;
3 Who forgives all your sins,
Who heals all your diseases;
4 Who redeems your life from the pit,
Who crowns you [lavishly] with lovingkindness and tender mercy;
5 Who satisfies your years with good things,
So that your youth is renewed like the [soaring] eagle.
6 The Lord executes righteousness
And justice for all the oppressed.
7 He made known His ways [of righteousness and justice] to Moses,
His acts to the children of Israel.
8 The Lord is merciful and gracious,
Slow to anger and abounding in compassion and lovingkindness.
9 He will not always strive with us,
Nor will He keep His anger forever.
10 He has not dealt with us according to our sins [as we deserve],
Nor rewarded us [with punishment] according to our wickedness.
11 For as the heavens are high above the earth,
So great is His lovingkindness toward those who fear and worship Him [with awe-filled respect and deepest reverence].
12 As far as the east is from the west,
So far has He removed our transgressions from us.
13 Just as a father loves his children,
So the Lord loves those who fear and worship Him [with awe-filled respect and deepest reverence].
14 For He knows our [mortal] frame;
He remembers that we are [merely] dust.
15 As for man, his days are like grass;
Like a flower of the field, so he flourishes.
16 For the wind passes over it and it is no more,
And its place knows it no longer.
17 But the lovingkindness of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who [reverently] fear Him,
And His righteousness to children’s children,
18 To those who honor and keep His covenant,
And remember to do His commandments [imprinting His word on their hearts].
19 The Lord has established His throne in the heavens,
And His sovereignty rules over all [the universe].
20 Bless the Lord, you His angels,
You mighty ones who do His commandments,
Obeying the voice of His word!
21 Bless the Lord, all you His hosts,
You who serve Him and do His will.
22 Bless the Lord, all you works of His, in all places of His dominion;
Bless and affectionately praise the Lord, O my soul!
Praise for the Lord’s Mercies.

Psalm 103 (AMPC)
[A Psalm] of David.
1 Bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, O my soul; and all that is [deepest] within me, bless His holy name!
2 Bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, O my soul, and forget not [one of] all His benefits—
3 Who forgives [every one of] all your iniquities, Who heals [each one of] all your diseases,
4 Who redeems your life from the pit and corruption, Who beautifies, dignifies, and crowns you with loving-kindness and tender mercy;
5 Who satisfies your mouth [your necessity and desire at your personal age and situation] with good so that your youth, renewed, is like the eagle’s [strong, overcoming, soaring]!
6 The Lord executes righteousness and justice [not for me only, but] for all who are oppressed.
7 He made known His ways [of righteousness and justice] to Moses, His acts to the children of Israel.
8 The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and plenteous in mercy and loving-kindness.
9 He will not always chide or be contending, neither will He keep His anger forever or hold a grudge.
10 He has not dealt with us after our sins nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
11 For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great are His mercy and loving-kindness toward those who reverently and worshipfully fear Him.
12 As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.
13 As a father loves and pities his children, so the Lord loves and pities those who fear Him [with reverence, worship, and awe].
14 For He knows our frame, He [earnestly] remembers and imprints [on His heart] that we are dust.
15 As for man, his days are as grass; as a flower of the field, so he flourishes.
16 For the wind passes over it and it is gone, and its place shall know it no more.
17 But the mercy and loving-kindness of the Lord are from everlasting to everlasting upon those who reverently and worshipfully fear Him, and His righteousness is to children’s children—
18 To such as keep His covenant [hearing, receiving, loving, and obeying it] and to those who [earnestly] remember His commandments to do them [imprinting them on their hearts].
19 The Lord has established His throne in the heavens, and His kingdom rules over all.
20 Bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, you His angels, you mighty ones who do His commandments, hearkening to the voice of His word.
21 Bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, all you His hosts, you His ministers who do His pleasure.
22 Bless the Lord, all His works in all places of His dominion; bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, O my soul!

Psalm 103 The Message (MSG)
A David Psalm103 1-2 O my soul, bless God.
From head to toe, I’ll bless his holy name!
O my soul, bless God,
don’t forget a single blessing!
3-5 He forgives your sins—every one.
He heals your diseases—every one.
He redeems you from hell—saves your life!
He crowns you with love and mercy—a paradise crown.
He wraps you in goodness—beauty eternal.
He renews your youth—you’re always young in his presence.
6-18 God makes everything come out right;
he puts victims back on their feet.
He showed Moses how he went about his work,
opened up his plans to all Israel.
God is sheer mercy and grace;
not easily angered, he’s rich in love.
He doesn’t endlessly nag and scold,
nor hold grudges forever.
He doesn’t treat us as our sins deserve,
nor pay us back in full for our wrongs.
As high as heaven is over the earth,
so strong is his love to those who fear him.
And as far as sunrise is from sunset,
he has separated us from our sins.
As parents feel for their children,
God feels for those who fear him.
He knows us inside and out,
keeps in mind that we’re made of mud.
Men and women don’t live very long;
like wildflowers they spring up and blossom,
But a storm snuffs them out just as quickly,
leaving nothing to show they were here.
God’s love, though, is ever and always,
eternally present to all who fear him,
Making everything right for them and their children
as they follow his Covenant ways
and remember to do whatever he said.
19-22 God has set his throne in heaven;
he rules over us all. He’s the King!
So bless God, you angels,
ready and able to fly at his bidding,
quick to hear and do what he says.
Bless God, all you armies of angels,
alert to respond to whatever he wills.
Bless God, all creatures, wherever you are—
everything and everyone made by God.And you, O my soul, bless God!

Psalm 103 (TLB)
103 I bless the holy name of God with all my heart. 2 Yes, I will bless the Lord and not forget the glorious things he does for me.
3 He forgives all my sins. He heals me. 4 He ransoms me from hell. He surrounds me with loving-kindness and tender mercies. 5 He fills my life with good things! My youth is renewed like the eagle’s! 6 He gives justice to all who are treated unfairly. 7 He revealed his will and nature to Moses and the people of Israel.
8 He is merciful and tender toward those who don’t deserve it; he is slow to get angry and full of kindness and love. 9 He never bears a grudge, nor remains angry forever. 10 He has not punished us as we deserve for all our sins, 11 for his mercy toward those who fear and honor him is as great as the height of the heavens above the earth. 12 He has removed our sins as far away from us as the east is from the west. 13 He is like a father to us, tender and sympathetic to those who reverence him. 14 For he knows we are but dust 15 and that our days are few and brief, like grass, like flowers, 16 blown by the wind and gone forever.
17-18 But the loving-kindness of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting to those who reverence him; his salvation is to children’s children of those who are faithful to his covenant and remember to obey him!
19 The Lord has made the heavens his throne; from there he rules over everything there is. 20 Bless the Lord, you mighty angels of his who carry out his orders, listening for each of his commands. 21 Yes, bless the Lord, you armies of his angels who serve him constantly.
22 Let everything everywhere bless the Lord. And how I bless him too!
103 I bless the holy name of God with all my heart. 2 Yes, I will bless the Lord and not forget the glorious things he does for me.
