1:15 Sentähden, kun kuulin siitä uskosta, joka teillä on
Herrassa Jeesuksessa, ja teidän rakkaudestanne kaikkia pyhiä kohtaan, 1:16 en minäkään lakkaa kiittämästä teidän tähtenne,
kun muistelen teitä rukouksissani,

Jumala, kirkkauden Isä, antaisi teille viisauden ja ilmestyksen Hengen hänen
tuntemisessaan
1:18 ja valaisisi teidän sydämenne silmät, että
tietäisitte, mikä on se toivo, johon hän on teidät kutsunut, kuinka suuri hänen
perintönsä kirkkaus hänen pyhissään
1:19 ja mikä hänen voimansa ylenpalttinen suuruus
meitä kohtaan, jotka uskomme - sen hänen väkevyytensä voiman vaikutuksen
mukaan,
1:20 jonka hän vaikutti Kristuksessa,
kun hän herätti hänet kuolleista ja asetti hänet oikealle puolellensa

Eph 1 AMP15 For this reason, because I have heard of your faith in
the Lord Jesus and your love toward all the saints (the people of God),16 I
do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers.17
[For I always pray to] the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of
glory, that He may grant you a spirit of wisdom and revelation [of insight into
mysteries and secrets] in the [deep and intimate] knowledge of Him,18 By
having the eyes of your heart flooded with light, so that you can know and understand the hope to which He has called you, and how rich is His glorious
inheritance in the saints (His set-apart ones),19 And [so that you
can know and understand] what is the immeasurable and unlimited and
surpassing greatness of His power in and for us who believe, as
demonstrated in the working of His mighty strength,
Eph 1 MSG15-19 That’s why, when I heard of the solid trust you havethe Lord Jesus and your love toward all the saints (the people of God),16 I
do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers.17
[For I always pray to] the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of
glory, that He may grant you a spirit of wisdom and revelation [of insight into

I couldn’t stop thanking God for you—every time I prayed, I’d think of you and
give thanks. But I do more than thank. I ask—ask the God of our Master, Jesus
Christ, the God of glory—to make you intelligent and discerning in knowing him
personally, your eyes focused and clear, so that you can see exactly what it is
he is calling you to do, grasp the immensity of this glorious way of life he
has for his followers, oh, the utter extravagance of his work in us who trust
him—endless energy, boundless strength!
Eph 1 TLB15 That is why, ever since I heard of your strong faith
in the Lord Jesus and of the love you have for Christians everywhere, 16-17
I have never stopped thanking God for you. I pray for you constantly,
asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you wisdom to
see clearly and really understand who Christ is and all that he has done for
you. 18 I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that
you can see something of the future he has called you to share. I want you to
realize that God has been made rich because we who are Christ’s have been given
to him! 19 I pray that you will begin to understand how incredibly
great his power is to help those who believe him. It is that same mighty power 20
that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at
God’s right hand in heaven
