Psalmit 82:6-7 FINRK
”Minä sanoin: ’Te olette jumalia, kaikki te olette Korkeimman poikia. Silti te kuolette kuin ihmiset, kaadutte kuin kuka tahansa ruhtinaista.’””
Psalm 82:6-7Amplified Bible (AMP)
”Minä sanoin: ’Te olette jumalia, kaikki te olette Korkeimman poikia. Silti te kuolette kuin ihmiset, kaadutte kuin kuka tahansa ruhtinaista.’””
Psalm 82:6-7Amplified Bible (AMP)
6 I
said, “You are [a]gods;
Indeed,
all of you are sons of the Most High.
7
“Nevertheless you will die like men
And
fall like any one of the princes.”
Footnotes:
Psalm 82:6 Most of the ancient rabbis
understood the idea of “gods” referring to judges, but some applied vv 6, 7 to
the Israelites at Sinai and maintained that they would have become immortal as
a result of accepting the Law, if only they had not committed the sin of the
golden calf.
Psalmit 9:20-21 FINRK
”Nouse, Herra! Älköön ihminen mahtailko. Tuomittakoon kansat sinun kasvojesi edessä. Herra, saata ne pelon valtaan! Tietäkööt kansat olevansa vain ihmisiä. Sela.”

Ps
9:20AMP
20 Put
them in [reverent] [a]fear of You, O Lord,
So
that the nations may know they are but [frail and mortal] men. Selah.
Footnotes:
Psalm 9:20 The “fear” of God is a common
concept in the OT, but is difficult to translate into English. It is not simply
a matter of “fear” in the modern English sense. Nor is it only a sentiment of
deep reverence. It implies obedience, as well.
Psalm
9:20 AMPC
”Put
them in fear [make them realize their frail nature], O Lord, that the nations
may know themselves to be but men. Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!”

Psalms
