24.09. Jaak 5:11

Jaak 5:11. Kuinka ylistämmekään autuaiksi
niitä, jotka ovat pysyneet
kestävinä!

Olette kuulleet Jobin
kestävyydestä,
ja Herran antaman lopputuloksen te
tunnette. Herra on laupias ja
armahtava.

Job 1:20–22, 42:10; Ps. 103:8

James 5Amplified Bible (AMP) 10 As an example, brothers and sisters, of suffering and
patience, take the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord [as His
messengers and representatives].

11 You know we call those blessed [happy, spiritually prosperous, favored by God] who were steadfast and endured [difficult circumstances]. You have heard of
the patient endurance of Job and you have seen the Lord’s outcome [how He richly blessed Job]. The Lord is full of compassion and is merciful.

James 5The Message (MSG) 10-11 Take the old prophets as your mentors. They put up with anything, went through
everything, and never once quit, all the time honoring God.
What a gift
life is to those who stay the course! You’ve heard, of course, of Job’s staying
power, and you know how God brought it all together for him at the end. That’s
because God cares, cares right down to the last detail

James 5Living Bible (TLB) 10 For examples of patience in suffering, look at the
Lord’s prophets.
11
We know how happy they are now because they stayed true to him then,
even though they suffered greatly for it. Job is an example of a man who
continued to trust the Lord in sorrow; from his experiences we can see how the
Lord’s plan finally ended in good, for he is full of tenderness and mercy.
