Psalmi 27

Herra on elämäni turva

1. Daavidin psalmi.

Herra on minun valoni ja

pelastajani,ketä
minä pelkäisin!

Herra on elämäni turva,

ketä minä kauhistuisin!

2. Kun pahantekijät käyvät kimppuuni

syödäkseen lihaani,

niin he, minun ahdistajani ja

vihamieheni,kompastuvat ja kaatuvat.

3. Vaikka sotajoukko leiriytyisi

minua vastaan,sydämeni
ei pelkäisi.
Vaikka minua vastaan nousisi

sota,silloinkin olisin luottavainen.

4. Yhtä olen pyytänyt Herralta,

sitä minä etsin,

että saisin asua Herran

huoneessa kaikki elämäni

päivät,

katsella Herran ihanuutta

ja mietiskellä hänen

temppelissään.

5. Hän piilottaa minut majaansa

pahana päivänä,

hän kätkee minut telttansa

suojaan.

Hän nostaa minut kalliolle.

6. Nyt pääni kohoaa vihollisteni

yli, jotka minua ympäröivät.

Riemuhuudoin minä uhraanuhreja
hänen majassaan,laulan ja soitan Herralle.

Psalm 27 (AMP)⁴ One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek,
inquire for, and [insistently] require: that I may dwell in the house of
the Lord [in His presence] all the days of my life, to behold and gaze
upon the beauty [the sweet attractiveness and the delightful loveliness] of the
Lord and to meditate, consider, and inquire in His temple.
⁵ For in the day of trouble He will hide me in His shelter; in the
secret place of His tent will He hide me; He will set me high upon a rock.
⁶ And now shall my head be lifted up above my enemies round about
me; in His tent I will offer sacrifices and shouting of joy; I will
sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord.

Psalmi 37 3. Luota Herraan ja tee hyvää,

asu maassa ja noudata totuutta.

4. Olkoon ilosi Herrassa,
niin hän antaa sinulle mitä

sydämesi pyytää.

5. Anna tiesi Herran haltuun

ja luota häneen, niin hän sen

tekee.

6. Hän tuo esiin vanhurskautesi

kuin valon

ja oikeutesi kuin keskipäivän.

7. Hiljenny Herran edessä ja odota

häntä.

Älä vihastu siihen, joka

menestyy tiellään,

mieheen, joka juonia punoo.

8. Jätä pois viha ja hylkää kiukku.

Älä kanna kaunaa, se on vain

pahaksi.

Psalm 37 (AMP) ⁴ Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires and secret petitions of your heart.
⁵ Commit your way to the Lord [roll and repose each care of your load on Him]; trust (lean on, rely on, and be confident) also in Him and He will bring it to pass.
⁶ And He will make your uprightness and right standing with God go forth as the light, and your justice and right as [the shining sun of] the noonday.
⁷ Be still and rest in the Lord; wait for Him and patiently lean yourself upon Him; fret not yourself because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wicked devices to pass.
⁸ Cease from anger and forsake wrath; fret not yourself—it tends only to evildoing.

Ps 31: 20. Kuinka suuri onkaan hyvyytesi,

jonka olet varannut niille,

jotka sinua pelkäävät,

ja jota osoitat ihmisten edessä

niille,

jotka sinuun turvautuvat!

21. Sinä kätket heidät kasvojesi

suojaan

ihmisten juonittelulta,

sinä kätket heidät turvapaikkaan

kielten riidalta.

22. Siunattu olkoon Herra,

sillä hän osoitti minulle

ihmeellisen armonsa

piiritetyssä kaupungissa.

23. Minä sanoin hädässäni:

”Minut on reväisty pois sinun

silmiesi edestä.”

Kuitenkin sinä kuulit ääneni,

kun huusin sinua ja anoin

armoa.

24. Rakastakaa Herraa,

kaikki hänen hurskaansa.

Herra varjelee uskolliset,

mutta ylpeilijöille hän kostaa

runsain mitoin.

25. Olkoon sydämenne rohkea ja

olkaa lujat,

kaikki te, jotka odotatte Herraa.

Psalm 31 (AMP) ²⁰ In the secret place of Your presence You hide them from the plots of men; You keep them secretly in Your pavilion from the strife of tongues.
²¹ Blessed be the Lord! For He has shown me His marvelous loving favor when I was beset as in a besieged city.
²² As for me, I said in my haste and alarm, I am cut off from before Your eyes. But You heard the voice of my supplications when I cried to You for aid.
²³ O love the Lord, all you His saints! The Lord preserves the faithful, and plentifully pays back him who deals haughtily.
²⁴ Be strong and let your heart take courage, all you who wait for and hope for and expect the Lord!
