Ps. 33:18 Katso, Herran silmä valvoo niitä, jotka
häntä pelkäävät ja panevat toivonsa hänen laupeuteensa
33:19 pelastaaksensa heidän
sielunsa kuolemasta, elättääksensä heitä nälän aikana.
33:20 Meidän
sielumme odottaa Herraa, hän on meidän apumme ja kilpemme.
33:21 Sillä hänessä
iloitsee meidän sydämemme, me turvaamme hänen pyhään nimeensä.
33:22 Sinun armosi,
Herra, olkoon meidän päällämme, niinkuin me panemme toivomme sinuun.

AMP Ps 33:¹⁸ Behold, the
Lord’s eye is upon those who fear Him [who revere and worship Him with awe],
who wait for Him and hope in His mercy and loving-kindness,¹⁹
To deliver them from death and keep them alive in famine.²⁰ Our
inner selves wait [earnestly] for the Lord; He is our Help and our Shield.²¹
For in Him does our heart rejoice, because we have trusted (relied on and
been confident) in His holy name.²² Let Your mercy and
loving-kindness, O Lord, be upon us, in proportion to our waiting and
hoping for You.

MSG Ps 33: ^18-19 Watch this: God’s eye is on those who respect him,
the ones who are looking for his love.
He’s ready to come to their rescue in bad times;
in lean times he keeps body and soul together.
^20-22 We’re depending on God;
he’s everything we need.
What’s more, our hearts brim with joy
since we’ve taken for our own his holy name.
Love us, God, with all you’ve got—
that’s what we’re depending on.

TLB Ps 33: ^18-19 But the eyes of the Lord are watching over those who
fear him, who rely upon his steady love. He will keep them from death even in
times of famine! ²⁰ We depend upon the
Lord alone to save us. Only he can help us; he protects us like a shield. ²¹ No wonder we are happy in the Lord! For we are
trusting him. We trust his holy name. ²² Yes,
Lord, let your constant love surround us, for our hopes are in you alone.
