2 Piet. 1:21  sillä ei koskaan ole mitään profetiaa tuotu esiin ihmisen
tahdosta, vaan Pyhän Hengen johtamina ihmiset ovat puhuneet sen, minkä saivat
Jumalalta.

Rinnakkaisviitteet
2Tim. 3:16 Jokainen kirjoitus, joka on syntynyt Jumalan
Hengen vaikutuksesta, on myös hyödyllinen opetukseksi, nuhteeksi, ojennukseksi,
kasvatukseksi vanhurskaudessa,

1Piet.

Englanti (KJV 1789)For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of
man: but holy men of God spake [as they were] moved by the Holy Ghost.

AMP 2 Piet 1: 21 For no prophecy ever originated because some man willed it [to do so—it never came by human impulse],
but men spoke from God who were borne along (moved and impelled) by the Holy
Spirit.

MSG 2 Piet 1: 18-21 Your life is a journey you must travel with a
deep consciousness of God.
It
cost
God plenty to get you out of that dead-end, empty-headed life you grew up in
.
He paid with Christ’s sacred blood, you know. He died like an unblemished, sacrificial lamb. And this was no afterthought. Even though it has only lately—at the end of the ages—become
public knowledge
, God always knew he was
going to do this for you. It’s because of this sacrificed Messiah
, whom God
then raised from the dead and glorified,
that
you trust God, that you know you have a future in God.
22-25 Now that you’ve cleaned up your lives by following the truth, love one another as if your lives depended on it. Your new life is not like your old life. Your old birth
came from mortal sperm; your new birth comes from God’s living Word.
Just
think: a life conceived by God himself! That’s why the prophet said,
The old life is a grass life,

its beauty as short-lived as wildflowers;
Grass dries up, flowers droop,
God’s Word goes on and on forever.
This is the Word that conceived the new life in you.

TLB  2 Piet 1: 21 Because of this, your trust can be in God who raised Christ from the dead
and gave him great glory. Now your faith and hope can rest in him alone.
22
Now you can have real love for everyone because your souls have been
cleansed from selfishness and hatred when you trusted Christ to save you; so
see to it that you really do love each other warmly, with all your hearts.
23 For you have a new life. It was not passed on to you from your
parents, for the life they gave you will fade away. This new one will last
forever, for it comes from Christ, God’s ever-living Message to men. 24 Yes,
our natural lives will fade as grass does when it becomes all brown and dry.
All our greatness is like a flower that droops and falls; 25 but the
Word of the Lord will last forever. And his message is the Good News that was
preached to you.

AMP 2Tim. 3: 16 Every Scripture is God-breathed (given by His inspiration) and profitable for instruction, for reproof and conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience, [and] for training in righteousness (in holy
living, in conformity to God’s will in thought, purpose, and action),
17 So that the man of God may be complete and proficient,  well fitted and thoroughly equipped for
every good work.

MSG 2Tim. 3: 14-17 But don’t let it faze
you. Stick with what you learned and believed, sure of the integrity of your
teachers—why, you took in the sacred Scriptures with your mother’s milk!
There’s nothing like the written Word of
God for showing you the way to salvation through faith in Christ Jesus
.
Every part of Scripture is God-breathed and
useful one way or another—showing us truth, exposing our rebellion, correcting
our mistakes, training us to live God’s way.
Through the Word we are put together and shaped up for the tasks God has for us.

TLB 2Tim. 3: 14 But you must keep on
believing the things you have been taught. You know they are true, for you know
that you can trust those of us who have taught you. 15 You know how,
when you were a small child, you were taught the holy Scriptures; and it is
these that make you wise to accept God’s salvation by trusting in Christ Jesus.
16 The whole Bible[
b]
was given to
us by inspiration from God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make
us realize what is wrong in our lives; it straightens us out and helps us do what is right. 17 It is God’s way of making us well
prepared
at every point, fully equipped
to do good to everyone.
