18:31 Jumalan tie on nuhteeton, Herran sana tulessa koeteltu. Hän on kaikkien kilpi, jotka häneen turvaavat. 
18:32 Sillä kuka muu on Jumala kuin Herra, ja kuka pelastuksen kallio, paitsi meidän Jumalamme -
18:33 se Jumala, joka minut voimalla vyöttää ja tekee minun tieni nuhteettomaksi,
18:34 tekee minun jalkani nopeiksi niinkuin peurat ja asettaa minut kukkuloilleni, 
18:35 joka opettaa minun käteni sotimaan ja käsivarteni vaskijousta jännittämään!
18:36 Sinä annat minulle pelastuksen kilven, ja sinun oikea kätesi minua tukee; sinun laupeutesi tekee minut suureksi. 
18:37 Sinä annat minun askeleilleni avaran tilan, ja minun jalkani eivät horju. 

”Sinä, Herra, sytytät minun lamppuni, sinä, Jumala, tuot pimeyteeni valon. Sinun avullasi minä ryntään yli vallien, Jumalani avulla minä hyppään muurien yli. Jumalan ohjeet ovat täydelliset, Herran sana on kirkas ja puhdas. Kuin kilpi hän suojaa niitä, jotka hakevat hänestä turvaa. Kuka on Jumala, jollei Herra, kuka on turvamme, jollei Jumalamme? Jumala vyöttää minut voimalla, hän osoittaa minulle oikean tien.”

Sinä saat minun lamppuni loistamaan. Herra, minun Jumalani, valaisee pimeyteni. Sinun avullasi minä juoksen kiinni rosvojoukon, Jumalani avulla hyppään yli muurin. Jumalan tie on täydellinen, Herran sana tulessa koeteltu. Hän on kilpenä kaikille, jotka häneen turvaavat. Sillä kuka muu on Jumala paitsi Herra, ja kuka on kallio paitsi meidän Jumalamme? Hän on Jumala, joka vyöttää minut voimalla ja tekee minun tieni nuhteettomaksi. Hän tekee minun jalkani peuran jalkojen kaltaisiksi ja asettaa minut kukkuloilleni.”

”In your strength I can crush an army; with my God I can scale any wall. God’s way is perfect. All the Lord’s promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to him for protection. For who is God except the Lord? Who but our God is a solid rock? God arms me with strength, and he makes my way perfect. He makes me as surefooted as a deer, enabling me to stand on mountain heights. He trains my hands for battle; he strengthens my arm to draw a bronze bow.”

The word of the Lord is tested and tried; He is a shield to all those who take refuge and put their trust in Him. For who is God except the Lord? Or who is the Rock save our God, The God who girds me with strength and makes my way perfect? He makes my feet like hinds' feet [able to stand firmly or make progress on the dangerous heights of testing and trouble]; He sets me securely upon my high places. He teaches my hands to war, so that my arms can bend a bow of bronze.”

He trains my hands for war, So that my arms can bend a bow of bronze.”
