Joh 7:37-39
John 7:37-39 AMPC
”Now on the final and most
important day of the Feast, Jesus stood, and He cried in a loud voice, If any
man is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink! He who believes in Me [who
cleaves to and trusts in and relies on Me] as the Scripture has said, From his
innermost being shall flow [continuously] springs and rivers of living water.
But He was speaking here of the Spirit, Whom those who believed (trusted, had
faith) in Him were afterward to receive. For the [Holy] Spirit had not yet been
given, because Jesus was not yet glorified (raised to honor).”
John 7:37-39 NLT
”On the last day, the climax
of the festival, Jesus stood and shouted to the crowds, “Anyone who is thirsty
may come to me! Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the
Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.’” (When
he said “living water,” he was speaking of the Spirit, who would be given to
everyone believing in him. But the Spirit had not yet been given, because Jesus
had not yet entered into his glory.)”
John 7:37-39 NKJV
”On the last day, that great
day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let
him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out
of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” But this He spoke concerning
the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was
not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.”
