Psalmien
33 Raamattu 1933/38
33
Riemuitkaa Herrassa, te vanhurskaat. Oikeamielisten on soveliasta häntä
kiittää.
2
Ylistäkää Herraa kanteleilla, soittakaa hänelle kymmenkielisillä harpuilla.
3
kokoaa meren vedet niinkuin roukkioksi, panee syvyydet säiliöihin.
8
Peljätköön Herraa kaikki maa, hänen edessänsä vaviskoot kaikki maanpiirin
asukkaat.
10 Herra
särkee pakanain neuvon, tekee turhiksi kansojen aikeet.
11 Mutta
Herran neuvo pysyy iankaikkisesti, hänen sydämensä aivoitukset suvusta sukuun.
12
valinnut!
13 Herra
katsoo alas taivaasta, näkee kaikki ihmislapset;
14
asumuksestaan, valtaistuimeltaan hän katselee kaikkia maan asukkaita,
15 hän,
joka on luonut kaikkien heidän sydämensä, joka tarkkaa kaikkia heidän
tekojansa.
16 Ei
kuningas voita paljolla väellänsä, ei sankari pelastu suurella voimallansa.
17 Turha
hänessä iloitsee meidän sydämemme, me turvaamme hänen pyhään nimeensä.
22 Sinun
armosi, Herra, olkoon meidän päällämme, niinkuin me panemme toivomme sinuun
Psalm 33 NIV
1 Sing joyfully to the LORD, you righteous;
it is fitting for the upright to praise him.
2 Praise the LORD with the harp;
make music to him on the ten-stringed lyre.
3 Sing to him a new song;
play skillfully, and shout for joy.
4 For the word of the LORD is right and true;
he is faithful in all he does.
5 The LORD loves righteousness and justice;
the earth is full of his unfailing love.
6 By the word of the LORD the heavens were made,
their starry host by the breath of his mouth.
7 He gathers the waters of the sea into jars;
he puts the deep into storehouses.
8 Let all the earth fear the LORD;
let all the people of the world revere him.
9 For he spoke, and it came to be;
he commanded, and it stood firm.
10 The LORD foils the plans of the nations;
he thwarts the purposes of the peoples.
11 But the plans of the LORD stand firm forever,
the purposes of his heart through all generations.
12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD,
the people he chose for his inheritance.
13 From heaven the LORD looks down
and sees all mankind;
14 from his dwelling place he watches
all who live on earth—
15 he who forms the hearts of all,
who considers everything they do.
16 No king is saved by the size of his army;
no warrior escapes by his great strength.
17 A horse is a vain hope for deliverance;
despite all its great strength it cannot save.
18 But the eyes of the LORD are on those who fear him,
on those whose hope is in his unfailing love,
19 to deliver them from death
and keep them alive in famine.
20 We wait in hope for the LORD;
he is our help and our shield.
21 In him our hearts rejoice,
for we trust in his holy name.
22 May your unfailing love be with us, LORD,
even as we put our hope in you

Sefanja 2:3 FINRK
”Seek the Lord [inquire for Him, inquire of Him, and require Him as the foremost necessity of your life], all you humble of the land who have acted in compliance with His revealed will and have kept His commandments; seek righteousness, seek humility [inquire for them, require them as vital]. It may be you will be hidden in the day of the Lord's anger.”
Zephaniah 2:3 AMPC
”Seek the Lord, all who are humble, and follow his commands. Seek to do what is right and to live humbly. Perhaps even yet the Lord will protect you— protect you from his anger on that day of destruction.”
Zephaniah 2:3 NLT
”The wind takes away the dry parts of a plant that covered the seed. It will be like that when I punish you. Before it is the time for me to punish you, look for me. Before this time is past, look for me. Look for me, before I become very, very angry with you. There will be a day when the Lord will be angry. Look for me, before that day. Yes, look for the Lord, all you people who want to make him happy. You have done what the Lord wants. Continue to do what is good. But do not think that you are great. Perhaps you will find a safe place on the day when the Lord is angry.”

Judgments on Judah’s Enemies
2 Gather yourselves together [in repentance], yes, gather [in submission],
O nation without shame,
2 Before the decree takes effect [and the time for repentance is lost]—
The day passes like the chaff [whirled by the wind]—
Before the burning and fierce anger of the Lord comes upon you,
Before the day of the wrath of the Lord comes upon you.
3 Seek the Lord [search diligently for Him and regard Him as the foremost necessity of your life],
All you humble of the land
Who have practiced His ordinances and have kept His commandments;
Seek righteousness, seek humility [regard them as vital].
Perhaps you will be hidden [and pardoned and rescued]
In the day of the Lord’s anger.
