Jeesus, Kristus, Immanuel, Jumala meidän kanssamme, Herra pelastaa, Hän pelastaa


Matt 1:16 FINRK ja Jaakobille Joosef, Marian mies. Mariasta syntyi Jeesus, jota kutsutaan Kristukseksi

21 Hän synnyttää pojan, ja sinun on annettava hänelle nimeksi Jeesus , sillä hän pelastaa kansansa sen synneistä.”  Ps. 130:8; Luuk. 1:31,2:21; Joh. 1:29; Ap. t. 4:12

22.  Tämä kaikki on tapahtunut, jotta kävisi toteen sana, jonka Herra on puhunut profeetan kautta:

23.”Katso, neitsyt tulee raskaaksi ja synnyttää pojan, ja hänelle annetaan nimeksi Immanuel” – se merkitsee: Jumala meidän kanssamme.  Jes. 7:14

   1:16.  Kreikankielinen sana khristos merkitsee ’voideltu’. Samaa tarkoittaa hepreankielinen sana maašiiah, joka on sanan Messias alkumuoto.

  1:21. Jeesus on kreikankielinen muoto hepreankielisestä nimestä Jeesua. Tämän alkumuotona on hepreankielinen nimi Joosua, joka merkitsee ’Herra pelastaa’.

Footnotes: Matthew 1:16 The Greek singular feminine pronoun hes, translated “whom,” shows that Jesus was born of Mary alone, without Joseph’s participation; however, Jesus was considered Joseph’s legal son and heir. Accordingly, Matthew’s genealogy confirms Jesus as a legitimate descendant of David.
