”Minä kuljen sinun edelläsi ja tasoitan vuorimaat. Minä murran vaskiovet ja lyön rikki rautasalvat. Minä annan sinulle aarteet pimeän peitosta, kalleudet kätköistään, jotta tietäisit, että minä, Herra olen sinut nimeltä kutsunut, minä, Israelin Jumala. Palvelijani Jaakobin ja valittuni Israelin tähden minä kutsuin sinut nimeltä ja annoin sinulle kunnianimen, vaikka sinä et minua tuntenut. Minä olen Herra, eikä toista ole, ei ole muuta Jumalaa kuin minä. Minä vyötän sinut, vaikka sinä et minua tunne, jotta auringon nousun maista sen laskun sijoille asti tiedettäisiin, ettei ole ketään muuta kuin minä. Minä olen Herra, eikä toista ole, minä, joka teen valon ja luon pimeyden, joka tuotan onnen ja luon onnettomuuden. Minä, Herra, teen kaiken tämän. Pisaroikaa, te taivaat, ylhäältä, vuotakoot pilvet vanhurskautta. Avautukoon maa ja kantakoon pelastuksen hedelmää, versokoon se myös vanhurskautta. Minä, Herra, olen sen luonut. Voi sitä, joka riitelee luojaansa vastaan, saviastia saviastioiden joukossa! Sanooko savi muovaajalleen: ”Mitä sinä pystyt tekemään? Sinun työsi on kädettömän työtä!””Jesaja 45:2-9 FINRK

”I will go before you and level the mountains [to make the crooked places straight]; I will break in pieces the doors of bronze and cut asunder the bars of iron. And I will give you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places, that you may know that it is I, the Lord, the God of Israel, Who calls you by your name. For the sake of Jacob My servant, and of Israel My chosen, I have called you by your name. I have surnamed you, though you have not known Me. I am the Lord, and there is no one else; there is no God besides Me. I will gird and arm you, though you have not known Me, That men may know from the east and the rising of the sun and from the west and the setting of the sun that there is no God besides Me. I am the Lord, and no one else [is He]. I form the light and create darkness, I make peace [national well-being] and I create [physical] evil (calamity); I am the Lord, Who does all these things. Let fall in showers, you heavens, from above, and let the skies rain down righteousness [the pure, spiritual, heaven-born possibilities that have their foundation in the holy being of God]; let the earth open, and let them [skies and earth] sprout forth salvation, and let righteousness germinate and spring up [as plants do] together; I the Lord have created it. Woe to him who strives with his Maker!–a worthless piece of broken pottery among other pieces equally worthless [and yet presuming to strive with his Maker]!
