Koska siis lapsilla on liha ja veri, myös hän tuli niistä samalla tavoin osalliseksi, jotta hän kuoleman kautta kukistaisi sen, jolla oli kuolema vallassaan, nimittäin Paholaisen,  Jes. 25:8; Joh. 12:31; 1. Kor. 15:26,54,55; 2. Tim. 1:10

ja vapauttaisi kaikki, jotka kuoleman pelosta olivat koko elämänsä ajan olleet orjuudessa.  Luuk. 1:74; Room. 8:15 16.  Ei hän ota suojelukseensa enkeleitä vaan Abrahamin siemenen.   Jes. 41:8,9; Gal. 3:29

¹³ And again [^[a]He says],

“My trust and confident hope will be placed in Him.”

And again,

“Here I am, I and the children whom God has given Me.”

¹⁴ Therefore, since [these His] children share in flesh and blood [the physical nature of mankind], He Himself in a similar manner also shared in the same [physical nature, but without sin], so that through [experiencing] death He might make powerless (ineffective, impotent) him who had the power of death—that is, the devil— ¹⁵ and [that He] might free all those who through [the haunting] fear of death were held in slavery throughout their lives.
