Psalm 93Amplified Bible (AMP)The Majesty of the Lord.

93 The Lord reigns, He is clothed with majesty and splendor;
The Lord has clothed and encircled Himself with strength;
the world is firmly established, it cannot be moved.
Your throne is established from of old;
You are from everlasting.

The floods have lifted up, O Lord,
The floods have lifted up their voice;
The floods lift up their pounding waves.
More than the sounds of many waters,
More than the mighty breakers of the sea,
The Lord on high is mighty.
Your precepts are fully confirmed and completely reliable;
Holiness adorns Your house,
O Lord, forever

Psalm 93Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)

Psalm 93

The Lord reigns, He is clothed with majesty; the Lord is robed, He has girded Himself with strength and power; the world also is established, that it cannot be moved.

Your throne is established from of old; You are from everlasting.

The floods have lifted up, O Lord, the floods have lifted up their voice; the floods lift up the roaring of their waves.

The Lord on high is mightier and more glorious than the noise of many waters, yes, than the mighty breakers and waves of the sea.

Your testimonies are very sure; holiness [apparent in separation from sin, with simple trust and hearty obedience] is becoming to Your house, O Lord, forever.

Psalm 93Expanded Bible (EXB)

 He is ·clothed [robed] in majesty.
    The Lord is ·clothed [robed] in majesty
    and ·armed [girded] with strength.
The world is ·set [established],
    and it ·cannot be moved [will not totter].
Lord, your ·kingdom [L throne] was ·set up [established] long ago;
    you are everlasting.

Lord, the ·seas [L rivers; C perhaps referring to currents within the sea] raise,
    the ·seas [L rivers] raise their voice.
    The ·seas [L rivers] raise up their pounding waves [C representing chaos].
The sound of the water is loud;
    the ·ocean waves [L breakers of the sea] are ·powerful [majestic],
but the Lord above is much ·greater [more powerful/majestic; C God is in control of chaos].

Lord, your ·laws [decrees; testimonies] ·will stand forever [are very faithful/true].
·Your Temple will be holy forevermore [L At your house holiness is fitting/appropriate and will be for length of days].

Psalm 93Living Bible (TLB)

93 Jehovah is King! He is robed in majesty and strength. The world is his throne.[a]

O Lord, you have reigned from prehistoric times, from the everlasting past. The mighty oceans thunder your praise. You are mightier than all the breakers pounding on the seashores of the world! Your royal decrees cannot be changed. Holiness is forever the keynote of your reign.

Footnotes:

Psalm 93:1 The world is his throne, literally, “The world is established . . . your throne is established.”

Psalm 93The Message (MSG)

93 1-2 God is King, robed and ruling,
God is robed and surging with strength.

And yes, the world is firm, immovable,
Your throne ever firm—you’re Eternal!

3-4 Sea storms are up, God,
Sea storms wild and roaring,
Sea storms with thunderous breakers.

Stronger than wild sea storms,
Mightier than sea-storm breakers,
Mighty God rules from High Heaven.

What you say goes—it always has.
“Beauty” and “Holy” mark your palace rule,
God, to the very end of time.

03.07. 2 Kor 4:16-18

2 Kor 4:16-18 Kirkkauden toivo

16.Sen tähden me emme lannistu. Vaikka ulkonainen ihmisemme menehtyykin, sisäinen ihmisemme kuitenkin uudistuu päivä päivältä. Jes. 40:30,31; Ef. 3:16

17.Tämä hetken kestävä, kevyt ahdistuksemme tuottaa määrättömän, ikuisen kirkkauden meille,

Matt. 5:12; Room. 8:18; 1. Piet. 5:10

18.jotka emme kiinnitä katsettamme näkyviin vaan näkymättömiin, sillä näkyvät ovat ajallisia mutta näkymättömät iankaikkisia.  Room. 8:24; Hepr. 11:1

2 Corinthians 4:16-18Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)

16 Therefore we do not become discouraged (utterly spiritless, exhausted, and wearied out through fear). Though our outer man is [progressively] decaying and wasting away, yet our inner self is being [progressively] renewed day after day.

17 For our light, momentary affliction (this slight distress of the passing hour) is ever more and more abundantly preparing and producing and achieving for us an everlasting weight of glory [beyond all measure, excessively surpassing all comparisons and all calculations, a vast and transcendent glory and blessedness never to cease!],

18 Since we consider and look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen; for the things that are visible are temporal (brief and fleeting), but the things that are invisible are deathless and everlasting.
