controlled and sustained by faith

 1. Moos. 23:4; 1. Aik. 29:15; Ps. 39:13,119:19

Hebr 11:13 Uskovina nämä kaikki kuolivat. Sitä, mikä heille oli luvattu, he eivät saaneet; he olivat vain etäältä nähneet sen ja tervehtineet sitä iloiten, tunnustaen olevansa vieraita ja muukalaisia maan päällä.

Hebrews 11:13Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)

13 These people all died controlled and sustained by their faith, but not having received the tangible fulfillment of [God’s] promises, only having seen it and greeted it from a great distance by faith, and all the while acknowledging and confessing that they were strangers and temporary residents and exiles upon the earth.
Hebrews 11:13Amplified Bible (AMP)

13 All these died in faith [guided and sustained by it], without receiving the [tangible fulfillment of God’s] promises, only having seen (anticipated) them and having welcomed them from a distance, and having acknowledged that they were strangers and exiles on the earth.

Hebrews 11:13Expanded Bible (EXB)

13 All these great people died in faith. They did not ·get [receive] the things that God promised his people, but they saw them ·coming far in the future [L from afar] and ·were glad [welcomed/greeted them]. They ·said [acknowledged/recognized that] they were like ·strangers [foreigners] and ·visitors [sojourners; refugees; resident aliens] on earth.

Hebrews 11:13Living Bible (TLB)

13 These men of faith I have mentioned died without ever receiving all that God had promised them; but they saw it all awaiting them on ahead and were glad, for they agreed that this earth was not their real home but that they were just strangers visiting down here.

Hebrews 11:13-16The Message (MSG)

13-16 Each one of these people of faith died not yet having in hand what was promised, but still believing. How did they do it? They saw it way off in the distance, waved their greeting, and accepted the fact that they were transients in this world. People who live this way make it plain that they are looking for their true home. If they were homesick for the old country, they could have gone back any time they wanted. But they were after a far better country than that—heaven country. You can see why God is so proud of them, and has a City waiting for them.

19.06. Hebr 6:14

Hebr 6:14 Hän sanoi: ”Totisesti, siunaamalla minä sinut siunaan ja lisäämällä sinut lisään”,

1. Moos. 12:2,3,22:17
15.ja niin Abraham kärsivällisesti odotettuaan sai sen, mitä oli luvattu.
Hepr. 10:36

Hebrews 6:14-15Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)

14 Saying, Blessing I certainly will bless you and multiplying I will multiply you.

15 And so it was that he [Abraham], having waited long and endured patiently, realized and obtained [in the birth of Isaac as a pledge of what was to come] what God had promised him.
