4 Katso, sen kansan sielu on kopea eikä ole suora; mutta vanhurskas on elävä uskostansa.

Habakkuk 2:4 AMPC Look at the proud; his soul is not straight or right within him, but the [rigidly] just and the [uncompromisingly] righteous man shall live by his faith and in his faithfulness. [Rom. 1:17; Gal. 3:11.]

Habakkuk 2:4Amplified Bible

His soul is not right within him,
But the righteous will live by his faith [in the true God].

Habakkuk 2:4 New Living Translation

They trust in themselves, and their lives are crooked.

19.11.2024 Mat 13:13-15

Mat 13:13-15 Raamattu 1933/38

 Matthew 13:13-15 Amplified Bible

13 This is the reason I speak to the crowds in parables: because while [having the power of] seeing they do not see, and while [having the power of] hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand and grasp [spiritual things]. 14 In them the prophecy of Isaiah is being fulfilled, which says,

‘You will hear and keep on hearing, but never understand;

And you will look and keep on looking, but never comprehend;

15 For this nation’s heart has grown hard,

And with their ears they hardly hear,

And they have [tightly] closed their eyes,

Otherwise they would see with their eyes,

And hear with their ears,

And understand with their heart, and turn [to Me]

And I would heal them [spiritually].’

Matthew 13:13-15

New Living Translation

13 That is why I use these parables,

For they look, but they don’t really see.

They hear, but they don’t really listen or understand.

14 This fulfills the prophecy of Isaiah that says,

‘When you hear what I say,

    you will not understand.

When you see what I do,

    you will not comprehend.

15 For the hearts of these people are hardened,

    and their ears cannot hear,

and they have closed their eyes—

    so their eyes cannot see,

and their ears cannot hear,

    and their hearts cannot understand,

and they cannot turn to me

    and let me heal them.’[a]

18.11.2024 Jes 6:9-10

Jes 6:9-10 Raamattu 1933/38

Isaiah 6:9-10 Amplified Bible

9 And He said, “Go, and tell this people:

‘Keep on listening, but do not understand;

Keep on looking, but do not comprehend.’

10 “Make the heart of this people insensitive,

Their ears dull,

And their eyes dim,

Otherwise they might see with their eyes,

Hear with their ears,

Understand with their hearts,

And return and be healed.”

Isaiah 6:9-10 New Living Translation

9 And he said, “Yes, go, and say to this people,

‘Listen carefully, but do not understand.

    Watch closely, but learn nothing.’

10 Harden the hearts of these people.

Plug their ears and shut their eyes.

That way, they will not see with their eyes,

    nor hear with their ears,

nor understand with their hearts

and turn to me for healing.”[a]

Footnotes 6:9-10 Greek version reads And he said, “Go and say to this people, / ‘When you hear what I say, you will not understand. / When you see what I do, you will not comprehend.’ / For the hearts of these people are hardened, / and their ears cannot hear, and they have closed their eyes— / so their eyes cannot see, / and their ears cannot hear, / and their hearts cannot understand, / and they cannot turn to me and let me heal them.” Compare Matt 13:14-15; Mark 4:12; Luke 8:10; Acts 28:26-27.

Mark 4:12 Raamattu 1933/38

12 että he näkemällä näkisivät, eivätkä huomaisi, ja kuulemalla kuulisivat, eivätkä ymmärtäisi, niin etteivät kääntyisi ja saisi anteeksi".

 Mark 4:12 Amplified Bible

12 so that they will continually look but not see, and they will continually hear but not understand, otherwise they might turn [from their rejection of the truth] and be forgiven.”

‘When they see what I do,
    they will learn nothing.
When they hear what I say,
    they will not understand.
Otherwise, they will turn to me
    and be forgiven.’[a]”
