21.10.2025 Mark 2:22

Mark 2:22 Raamattu 1933/38 22 Eikä kukaan laske nuorta viiniä vanhoihin nahkaleileihin; muutoin viini pakahuttaa leilit, ja viini menee hukkaan, ja leilit turmeltuvat; vaan nuori viini on laskettava uusiin leileihin."

 Mark 2:22 Amplified Bible

22 No one puts new wine into old [a]wineskins; otherwise the [fermenting] wine will [expand and] burst the skins, and the wine is lost as well as the wineskins. But new wine must be put into new wineskins.” Footnotes Mark 2:22 See note Matt 9:17.

Mark 2:22 New Living Translation

22 “And no one puts new wine into old wineskins. For the wine would burst the wineskins, and the wine and the skins would both be lost. New wine calls for new wineskins.”

20.10.2025 Joh 5:5-10

Joh 5:5-10 Raamattu 1933/38

John 5:5-10 Amplified Bible

5 There was a certain man there who had been ill for thirty-eight years. 6 When Jesus noticed him lying there [helpless], knowing that he had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to get well?” 7 The invalid answered, “Sir, I have no one to put me in the pool when the water is stirred up, and while I am coming [to get into it myself], someone else steps down ahead of me.” 8 Jesus said to him, “Get up; pick up your pallet and walk.” 9 Immediately the man was healed and recovered his strength, and [a]picked up his pallet and walked.

Now that day was the Sabbath. 10 So the Jews kept saying to the man who had been healed, “It is the Sabbath, and you are not [b]permitted to pick up your pallet [because it is unlawful].”

Footnotes John 5:9 Under Jewish tradition regarding the Sabbath, the man could have been stoned to death for this act.

John 5:10 The complex Jewish restrictions regarding work on the Sabbath were man-made rules and most were not supported by OT Scripture.
