Valitusvirret
3:20-23 Raamattu 1933/38
Lamentations 3:20-23 Amplified Bible
20 My soul continually remembers them
And is bowed down within me.
21 But this I call to mind,
Therefore I have hope.
22 It is because of the Lord’s lovingkindnesses
that we are not consumed,
Because His [tender] compassions never fail.
23 They are new every morning;
Great and beyond measure is Your faithfulness.
Lamentations 3:20-23 New Living Translation
20 I will never forget this awful time,
as I grieve over my loss.
21 Yet I still dare to hope
when I remember this:
22 The faithful love of the Lord never ends![a]
His mercies never cease.
23 Great is his faithfulness;
his mercies begin afresh each
morning.
Footnotes 3:22 As in Syriac version; Hebrew reads
of the Lord keeps us from destruction.
Lamentations 3:20-23 New International Version
20 I well remember them,
and my soul is downcast within
me.
21 Yet this I call to mind
and therefore I have hope:
22 Because of the Lord’s great love we are not
consumed,
for his compassions never
fail.
23 They are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.
Lamentations 3:20-23 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition
20 My soul has them continually in remembrance
and is bowed down within me.
21 But this I recall and therefore have I hope

22 It is because of the Lord’s mercy and
loving-kindness that we are not consumed, because His [tender] compassions fail
not.
