20 Mutta nytpä Kristus on noussut kuolleista, esikoisena kuoloon
nukkuneista.
21 Sillä koska kuolema on tullut ihmisen kautta, niin on myöskin
kuolleitten ylösnousemus tullut ihmisen kautta.

20 But the fact is that Christ (the Messiah) has been raised from the
dead, and He became the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep [in death].
21 For since [it was] through a man that death [came into the world, it
is] also through a Man that the resurrection of the dead [has come].
22 For just as [because of their [a]union of nature] in Adam all people
die, so also [by virtue of their [b]union of nature] shall all in Christ be

20 But in fact, Christ has been raised from the dead. He is the first of a
great harvest of all who have died.
21 So you see, just as death came into the world through a man, now the
resurrection from the dead has begun through another man. 22 Just as
everyone dies because we all belong to Adam, everyone who belongs to Christ
will be given new life.
