Psalmit 62:7-10 FINRK ”Hän yksin on minun kallioni ja pelastukseni. Hän on turvani, minä en horju. Jumalassa on pelastukseni ja kunniani. Hän on minun voimani kallio ja turvani. Luottakaa häneen joka hetki, te Israelin kansa, vuodattakaa hänen eteensä sydämenne. Jumala on meidän turvamme. Sela. Vain tuulenhenkäys ovat ihmiset, pelkkää valhetta jalosukuiset. Kaikki he nousevat vaa’assa tuulta kevyempinä.”

Psalm 62:7-8 AMPC ”With God rests my salvation and my glory; He is my Rock of unyielding strength and impenetrable hardness, and my refuge is in God! Trust in, lean on, rely on, and have confidence in Him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts before Him. God is a refuge for us (a fortress and a high tower). Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!”

9 Men of low degree [in the social scale] are emptiness (futility, a breath) and men of high degree [in the same scale] are a lie and a delusion. In the balances they go up; they are together lighter than a breath.

Markus 4:37-38 FINRK  ”Pian nousi kova myrsky ja aallot syöksyivät veneeseen, niin että se oli täyttymäisillään. Jeesus nukkui veneen perässä nojaten päänaluseen. Opetuslapset herättivät hänet ja sanoivat: ”Opettaja, etkö välitä siitä, että me hukumme?””

Mark 4:37-38 AMPC ”And a furious storm of wind [of hurricane proportions] arose, and the waves kept beating into the boat, so that it was already becoming filled. But He [Himself] was in the stern [of the boat], asleep on the [leather] cushion; and they awoke Him and said to Him, Master, do You not care that we are perishing?”

Mark 4:41 KR33/38 Ja suuri pelko valtasi heidät, ja he sanoivat toisillensa: "Kuka onkaan tämä, kun sekä tuuli että meri häntä tottelevat?"
